Pet Bakery Helps Promote Superior Animal Nutrition With Unique Grain-Free Treats!

February 29, 2004--Puppy Love Gourmet Bakery Inc, a full service, commercial pet treat bakery in Calgary, Canada has developed three new lines of treats aimed at the health conscious canine owner market and allergy-ridden canines.

"Most treats on the market utilize a grain flour base – wheat, rye, barley, rice, spelt, quinoa, etc. These types of treats are the equivalent to a person eating a cracker or a potato chip…..they are simply yummy treats without much nutritional value. However, here at Puppy Love, we are the first pet treat bakery to work with grain-free flours such as Chickpea, Hemp and Romano bean. These grain-free treats are more equivalent to a person choosing an apple as their snack choice", says President and recipe-developer, Michelle Devlin.

"It is important to us to not only provide yummy treats, but also to think outside the box and provide options to appeal to owners who do not believe in feeding grains and animals who cannot tolerate grains. Puppy Love's newest unique treats are called Flax Cookies, Hemp Bears and Bean Stars.

The Flax Cookies utilize Chickpea flour and flax as the first two ingredients and are available in Pumpkin, Beet, Coconut, Pineapple, Spinach or Salmon.

The Hemp Bears contain organic Hemp seed flour as the first ingredient and are available in Pumpkin, Beet, Coconut, Pineapple, Spinach and Blueberry/Cranberry.

Lastly the Bean Stars have a Romano bean flour as the first ingredient and come in herb or tomato.
